Comparison of TRMM PR and TMI Climate Rainfall Time Series

The following shows a comparison of the time series of monthly mean rainfall anomalies over the global tropical oceans (40N to 40S) from PR (3A25) and TMI (3A12 and 3A11). The data have been smoothed using a 5 month running mean filter.
